St. Bartholomew’s Fair 2021

Vilnius citizens and guests are traditionally invited to take part at historic St. Bartholomew’s Fair. The fair will be celebrated for the 10th time. This year the fair will be cosy but modest because of pandemic situation and small financing. It will take place at Saviciaus street and in the Old Crafts Workshop (Saviciaus 10). Jewellers, bookbinders, blacksmiths, craftsmen of wood, brass and leather works, enamel, renaissance dolls, glass beads, belt winging will take part at the fair.

The St. Bartholomew’s Fair is certificated as Lithuanian national heritage (in 2013) and maintains traditions of crafts and city’s culture. This revived festival is valuable as the part of intangible cultural heritage for strengthening the cultural contents and significance of Vilnius Historic Center – UNESCO World Heritage Site.

St. Bartholomew’s Fair is organised by Vilnius Fine Crafts Association with the help of „Amatų gildija“, Vilnius Old Town Renewal Agency and the club „Dvaro meistrai“; supported by Vilnius City Municipality.
