Celebrating 25 years since Vilnius Old Town was included into UNESCO World Heritage list with Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra – LKO.
25 years ago, on December 17, 1994 at the World Heritage Committee’s 18th session, held in Thailand, Vilnius Historic Centre was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list as having outstanding universal value.
The Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra and its Artistic Director violinist Sergej Krylov dedicated Christmas concert (26 12 2019) to this significant event. The musicians treated the audience to Chausson, Ravel and Saint-Saëns’ virtuoso opuses. Joseph Haydn and Nino Rota were also performed.
The greeting by the Lithuanian Minister of Culture was presented before the concert. The event took place at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Hall.
