The European Archaeology Days took place on June 18, 19 and 20, 2021. During these Archaeology Days, all those involved in archaeology were mobilized to introduce the public to the treasures of their national heritage and the secrets of the profession.
The Agency invited Vilnius craftsmen to join the European Archaeology Days 2021. 9 events tooke place in 6 galleries-workshops of craftsmen:
Reconstruction of the Gothic and Renaissance pottery techniques and making of ceramic frying pans were presented by Vilnius Potters’ Workshop.
Reconstructed archaeological rings of the most famous Lithuanian Grand Duchy’s noble men were presented by the Jewellery School Vilnensis.
Lecture and demonstration how to make antique glass beads and the Gothic bookbinding were presented by the Old Crafts Workshop.
Demonstration of the Limoges enamel technique and materials of 15th – 16th centuries were presented by the gallery „Meno Nisa“
Methods of reconstruction of antique Lithuanian clothing were presented by masters of „Menas Sau“.
