European Artistic Crafts Days “Elevate the everyday“ took place in Vilnius on March 28 – April 2, 2023. Six galleries-workshops – members of Vilnius Municipal Crafts Program organised practical educational training; there were 80 participants, including 26 school children; 3 exhibitions were organised. Craftsmen presented their working tools and crafts making processes, demonstrating their professional skills. Participants exchanged their impressions and tried to make some crafts themselves.
EACD are organized in Vilnius by the Old Town Renewal Agency and Vilnius Artistic Crafts Association since 2015. The European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD), launched in France in 2012, have become the leading European event devoted to the artistic crafts. Coordinated by the Institut National des Métiers d’Art (INMA), the cultural, economic, and tourist event showcases the exceptional expertise in the artistic crafts, in all its wealth and diversity. It is now the biggest international event devoted to this sector of activity.
