The international webinar “Creating meaningful experiences in heritage sites: an introduction to heritage interpretation and planning” was held on 14th November 2024. Certified trainer of Interpret Europe Valya Stergioti and two experts from the International Centre of the Interpretation and Presentation of World Heritage Sites (WHIPIC), Sujeong Lee and Namwoong Kim, shared insights about the most recent theories behind heritage interpretation and interpretive strategy. The webinar was organised by the Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO and Vilnius Old Town Renewal Agency.
The next part of the project – the seminar “Interpretive Planning: Making UNESCO World Heritage Values Meaningful” will take place from 20th to 22nd November, at the hall of Vilnius Old Town Renewal Agency. It is designed to meet the needs of planners and managers working at or collaborating with UNESCO designated areas or other (cultural and/or natural) heritage sites. Valya Stergioti, an interpretive consultant, planner and trainer will be facilitating all training activities. This will be the first ever seminar about this topic in Lithuania.
