Old Town courtyards reflect the culture of the residents’ daily life. Owners prefer safety, hence many of them have got closed; and accessibility to this unique side of the Old Town decreased. Partial municipal funding is available for upgrade of such yards: for restoration of historical pavements, facilities in combination of new pavement, recreational equipment, rainwater drainage, greenery and lighting. Municipal co-financing is aimed to encourage owners to maintain their beautiful courtyards ensuring their public accessibility in a day time.
Residents’ majority agreement with pooled resources is the condition for applying municipal project co-financing. The Agency invites residents to take the initiative in applying up to 50 percent partial financing for the implementation of their projects.
