Heritprot thematic seminar in Vilnius

During the 15th to 18th May 2013,  Vilnius Old Town Renewal Agency organized the fourth regional event of the Heritprot project in Vilnius.
The partners discussed about some good practices focused on:
“Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Safety and Protection”, “Rescue and Damage Control”, “Educational Notebook and New Topics” and Contingency Plans.

There were two guest speakers came from two interesting cities with experience on the topic “Fire Procedural action for incidents involving cultural assests”. Mr Eduard Schnoell, Chief of the Professional Fire Fighters in the City of Salzburg and Mr Luca Nassi, Deputy Chief of Florence Firefighters and Fire Protection Services. One of them talked about how fire prevention is done in their historical center and the Italian exposed the fire preparedness for heritage buildings in Italy.
This event was composed by a seminar and a study visit towards Vilnius Old Town, the 6th Vilnius Fire Station and to the Library of Vilnius University. An Executive Committee Meeting of the project partners also took place.
