INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP "MANAGEMENT OF HISTORIC CITIES AND LANDSCAPES: DIFFERENT CULTURES, COMMON GOALS, INTERCULTURAL PERSPECTIVE"

The international workshop "Management of Historic Cities and Landscapes: Different Cultures, Common Goals, Intercultural Perspective" was held from 19 to 22 June 2005 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The workshop was organised by the Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO, the Vilnius Old Town Renewal Agency (OTRA), the Sector of Culture of UNESCO, Division of Cultural Policies and Intercultural Dialogue and the UNESCO Office in Moscow. Organisers have invited experts in the field of cultural heritage conservation from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Moldova to come to Vilnius and to share their experience with Lithuanian heritage professionals. There were 23 participants at the Workshop in Vilnius: sixteen foreign guests and seven local Lithuanian experts. Three experts came from each of the South Caucasus countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Result of the international seminar - Final Communique and Recommendations regarding Management of Historic Cities and Landscapes.
