VILNIUS OLD TOWN REVITALISATION PROGRAMME 2005
In 2005 restoration and renewal of several important heritage monuments were implemented. Exterior restoration of St.Catherin's Church was finished, restoration and adaptation of the interior continues. The Church will be used as a Concert Hall. Mural paintings on the facade of the Franciscan Church were restored, the yard of the Theatre and Music Museum was renewed, several facades in Vilnius street were repainted. Regeneration works of the City Defence Wall started. Large scale reconstruction started in the Town Hall Square. Exterior of three wooden buildings was renovated, wooden decorations of their roofs, windows and doors were restored.
